REFLECTIONS

Experience
Over the last four months, I have progressed from knowing nothing at all to gaining an understanding of typography and becoming familiar with a variety of software, which makes me very happy. Before starting university, I worried about my thinking remaining static, it feels like my brain is on the edge of sprouting grass.
I was confused when I first entered the typography class because I was not familiar with the assignment methodology used by the university. However, I was fortunate to get support from classmates and lecturers who helped me overcome challenges and succeed in my studies. This experience has expanded my understanding and given me confidence in my learning.
In the last task, we have learning how to design our own fonts. Even though the learning process was challenging, but I was enjoyed it. I think it is cool to be able to have our own special mark when we are learning something.

Observations
Typography is an art that surrounds us every day, but we often unnotice it. The way letters are shaped, spaced, and presented can greatly impact the message being conveyed. Typography is a powerful tool for communication and expression. It has the ability to evoke emotions and influence how we perceive information. Effective typography makes it simple for readers to get the information.

Findings
Through these tasks, I discovered the significance of using various forms, layouts, and typefaces to deliver messages. The text style of a communication will significantly affect its tone and emotion. The lecture also highlighted the importance of readability in ensuring readers can easily understand the content. I enjoy taking typography classes, not just because of the course arrangement or the lecturers and classmates, but also because of the process of getting to know typography and developing a genuine love for it.
